NetApp Advanced Solution Pack Windows CIFS (NAWC)

• Designers and Implementers of NetApp storage solutions
• Administrators responsible for Microsoft Windows servers and clients accessing NetApp filers through CIFS

• Basic knowledge of the NetApp Filer products, network infrastructure, Microsoft Windows operating systems and Active Directory

This course will train the delegates to use NetApp filer in a NAS environment based on a Microsoft Windows 2003 Active Directory. This course contains the relevant parts of the courses “Data ONTAP Fundamentals“ (DOTF) and “Data ONTAP CIFS Administration” (CIFS). This course specifically does not deal with Unix integration, NFS, mixed environments or SANs.

• Explain the primary function of a storage appliance
• Describe the different server environments
• Identify the appropriate server environment for your storage system to support Windows client users
• Use a storage appliance console to access and execute commands
