The installation, configuration, and management of small and large infrastructures around Hyper-V with System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2025 (SCVMM) are a key focus.

A qui s'adresse cette formation

  • This seminar is aimed at IT professionals who already have knowledge of Hyper-V and its management tools (Hyper-V Manager > Switch and Disk Manager) and who are or will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of a (virtualized) Microsoft client-server infrastructure.
  • Newcomers to Hyper-V administration with System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2025 are just as welcome as administrators who need to learn about the new features of Microsoft's Hyper-V Server 2022/2025 and get a basic introduction to SCVMM 2025.

Pré-requis

  • Professional experience with Windows client operating systems such as Windows 10 / Windows 11
  • Experience with Windows servers and basic knowledge of PowerShell are advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of operating client-server environments around Hyper-V or prior attendance of the course; !
  • Understanding of;
    • Basic network technologies, such as name resolution and IP addressing (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol - DHCP)
    • Active Directory / AD DS / Group Policy operations

Objectifs

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Deploy and configure the Hyper-V role on Windows Server 2022/2025, including Storage Spaces, Storage Spaces Direct (S2D), and Hyper-V clustering
  • Install and configure System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) 2025, including service accounts, logical networks, virtual switches, and storage integration
  • Build and manage a SCVMM library to standardize VM templates, profiles, and deployment resources
  • Create, clone, and convert virtual machines efficiently using SCVMM automation capabilities
  • Organize and delegate administration through host groups and role-based access control
  • Extend infrastructure management to private and public cloud resources, including Azure and Azure Arc integration with SCVMM
  • Apply advanced Hyper-V security features such as Shielded VMs, Device Guard, and Credential Guard to protect virtualized workloads
  • Apply best practices for installing, configuring, and optimizing a Hyper-V/SCVMM infrastructure in production environments
