Effective management of PowerStore storage appliances enables organizations to perform post-installation and day-to-day administration tasks. This course provides the knowledge and necessary skills to perform administration tasks related to PowerStore file provisioning, VMware provisioning, and troubleshooting.

This course is intended for professionals who are positioning, designing, deploying, managing, and supporting solutions using PowerStore systems and VMware.
Pré-requis
Participants must have a suitable knowledge base and skill set including:
- Hardware concepts and technologies used in customer environments
- Software technologies used in customer environments
- Ethernet and TCP/IP networking
- Basic Microsoft Windows user, file, and domain administration
- Basic UNIX/Linux user and file management
- Basic VMware vSphere user and file management
- Fibre Channel Storage Area Networks
- Basic backup and recovery terms and technique
Objectifs
Upon completion of this course, professionals are able to:
- Configure and manage NAS services, SMB shares, and NFS exports
- Create and manage file systems, file system quotas, and NDMP
- Explain how PowerStore integrates with vSphere virtualized environments
- Configure and manage PowerStore storage resources for VMFS datastores, NFS datastores, and vVol datastores
- Troubleshoot PowerStore systems using PowerStore Manager, PowerStore CLI, and Service Console CLI
- Collect logs and data from the system using PowerStore Manager and CLI
- Contain faults and determine the status of components
